Seek the Peace of the City: Finding Wholeness by Looking Beyond Ourselves

What does it mean to seek peace in a place you didn’t choose? In this final message from Jeremiah 29, we explored God’s surprising call to the exiles in Babylon: to seek the welfare and shalom of the city around them. Instead of turning inward or simply waiting for rescue, we were challenged to look beyond ourselves, serve others, and pray for the communities where God has placed us.

As we discovered, when we seek the peace of others, we begin to experience more peace, wholeness, connection, and hope ourselves. This message invites us to consider how God may be calling us to be the church wherever we are sent.
