This Sunday, we gathered for All Saints Sunday to pause, reflect, and remember the saints who have gone before us—those who have left a deep and lasting impact on our lives.
When we talk about "legacy," we often think of it as something left behind in the past. But the etymology of legacy comes from the Latin word legare, which literally means "to send with a commission." Legacy isn't just a memory; it's an active way of living right now. Looking at Hebrews 11 and 12, we were reminded that we are surrounded by a "great cloud of witnesses" cheering us on. Their lives and stories serve as guiding lights to help us lay down our distractions, refocus on Jesus, and run our race with hope and purpose today.
No matter what your week holds, remember that your faith brings hope into the present through how you love, forgive, and serve.

This week's scripture was Hebrews 11:1-3 & 11:39-12:2
This week's scripture was Hebrews 11:1-3 & 11:39-12:2
- Legacy is not a memory. It is a daily activity. The way we forgive, serve, show up, and love the people around us is how we live our legacy right now, not someday in the future.
- God makes something out of nothing. Just as the writer of Hebrews reminds us that the world was made from things not visible, God can take whatever you feel you have to offer and do something extraordinary with it.
- We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. The saints in our lives who have gone before us are testifying to a life well-lived and cheering us on to lay aside every weight and run with perseverance toward the grace and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
