This Sunday, Pastor Deanne lead us in a message about the power of curiosity. Genuine curiosity, rooted in a desire to understand rather than merely acquire information, is essential for our spiritual growth and building meaningful relationships.

Sermon Notes

Check out some of the key takeaways from this past Sunday's sermon.

This week's scripture was Matthew 7:7-11
  • Ask questions and truly listen. Curiosity requires us to inquire with genuine interest and then listen attentively to the answers. Challenge yourself daily: "Did I ask any good questions today?"

  • Approach people and Scripture with fresh eyes. Let go of preconceived notions and look at the world with childlike wonder. Read Scripture seeking new understanding, and meet people wanting to truly know them.

  • Remember that curiosity conquers fear. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. taught us, we fear each other because we don't know each other. By being curious and communicating, we break down barriers and discover our shared humanity in Christ.
