November 24th, 2025

This Sunday, we looked at the hymn "It Is Well With My Soul" and challenged our culture of immediacy and instant gratification. Perspective requires time and intention. We were encouraged to look for God's goodness even in difficult moments.

Sermon Notes
Check out some of the key takeaways from this past Sunday's sermon.
This week's scripture was Romans 8:18-28
This week's scripture was Romans 8:18-28
- Perspective takes time in a culture of immediacy. We live in a world that demands instant gratification, but true perspective requires us to step back from the "right now" and see our circumstances in the context of God's eternal work. Our suffering is real, but it's "not worth comparing to the future glory about to be revealed to us."
- Gratitude is the disciplined awareness of God's presence, even in difficulty. Real thanksgiving isn't about ignoring the hard things or slapping "everything happens for a reason" on our pain. It's about training ourselves to notice God's goodness alongside our struggles.
- You don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes the best thing we can say to someone in pain is simply, "Can we pray?" And sometimes the best prayer is just "Help."

Lawrenceville Lights Work Day (December 6, 2025)
Thank you to everyone that came out this past weekend for our first work day! We made a lot of good progress, but there's still plenty left to do!
We will have another work day on December 6th to put the finishing touches on the campground before we open Lawrenceville Lights the following week. Come out and help us make this year the best one yet!
