This Sunday, we explored the theme of "Blessed Assurance" and the profound impact music has on our lives. Delving into the classic hymn, we discovered the assurance of God's love and its influence on how we live and perceive the world.

Sermon Notes
Check out some of the key takeaways from this past Sunday's sermon.
This week's scripture was Romans 5:1-8
This week's scripture was Romans 5:1-8
- God's love is already assured through Christ's sacrifice. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). We don't have to measure up or be "enough"—God's love isn't something we earn but something we receive.
- Living from assurance versus living for approval changes everything. When we know we're loved, our spiritual practices shift from anxious duty to joyful response. Prayer, service, and obedience become expressions of love rather than attempts to gain it.
- Assurance produces peace in the storms of life. Like the Moravian Christians singing hymns during a violent storm while John Wesley lived in fear, knowing God's love gives us resilience, hope, and peace even when circumstances feel overwhelming.
