Sunday Re-Cap (November 10, 2025)

This Sunday, we explored the beloved hymn "How Great Thou Art" as a framework for understanding God's greatness, power, and goodness. Pastor Deanne guided us through some of the history behind the hymn, and challenged us to move beyond our routine church activities towards genuine worship and praise.

Sermon Notes

Check out some of the key takeaways from this past Sunday's sermon.
This week's scripture was Romans 1:20-23 & 11:33-36
  • God's greatness is beyond our comprehension - "If we knew everything about God, it would make Him as small as us." We must maintain a sense of awe and wonder at God's magnificence displayed throughout creation.

  • God is both powerful and personal - While God created the entire universe and knows all 8 billion people on earth, He also knows your name, the number of hairs on your head, and loves you intimately. Your picture would be on His refrigerator.

  • True worship requires surrender - We often get caught up in church roles and responsibilities, but we must remember to surrender ALL to God—not just some. Genuine love and connection with God must be freely given, and we need to let Him be Lord and Master, not just friend.
