October 6th, 2025

This Sunday, we launched into a new series and a new campaign called Build Your Church. We talked about how we are called to bridges gaps between communities to bring people to Christ. We're excited to be taking this next step in faith together as we continue to connect the church to the community and the community to the church.

Sermon Notes
Check out some of the key takeaways from this past Sunday's sermon.
This week's scripture was Matthew 16:13-19
This week's scripture was Matthew 16:13-19
- Our personal answer to "Who is Jesus?" has eternal significance and impacts how we live our daily lives.
- The church is built on the profession that Jesus is Lord, and we are all invited to participate in this building process.
- Jesus calls us to take an active, outward-focused approach in sharing the good news, breaking down the "gates of Hades" that keep people from experiencing God's love.
As we launch into our "Build Your Church" campaign, let's remember that we're not just raising funds or expanding programs. We're answering Jesus' call to be part of a transformative movement that connects people to the life-changing truth that Jesus is Lord.

Learn more about Build Your Church
We are excited to be stepping into this new season at LVfirst with you! Yesterday, we kicked off our three-year generosity campaign, Build Your Church, with the goal of raising an additional $2,000,000 to fund some much needed renovations on our church campus, and to expand our ministry capability into a community that desperately needs to hear some good news.
We have compiled a wealth of resources and information about this campaign on our website www.buildyourchurch.org - you'll find FAQs, testimonies from community members who are already being impacted through your generosity, giving information, as well as specific information regarding our vision for this campaign.
